Olga Kostyantynivna Kurylenko (Ukrainian: Ольга Костянтинівна Куриленко )

Born on November 14, 1979
Olga Kostyantynivna Kurylenko (Ukrainian: Ольга Костянтинівна Куриленко ) is a Ukrainian model and actress. She is perhaps best known as the Bond girl in the 22nd James Bond film, Quantum of Solace and for portraying the character of Nika Boronina in the movie adaptation of the video game Hitman. Since 2001 she holds French citizenship

Olga Kostyantynivna Kurylenko Quotes
“I think James Bond still
carries Vesper in his heart. Camille might be there to distract him… But maybe not!”

"I have NO problem going Nude!”

"(On her character in "Quantum Of Solace") She's careful and she doesn't trust that easily. So basically with men, she either uses them, or if they're no use, and she sees that they can't serve her, then she throws them away. First she is trying to figure this guy out. But Bond and Camille do warm up to each other."

"(On her film "The Serpent") Where I come from in the Ukraine, the girls from Slavic countries get trapped in the same way illegally as the character I play in this film. Their papers and passport get taken and they are used in the sex trade. She is being used as a tool - a way of destroying people, she is being used herself. This happens to a lot of girls; they think they are going somewhere nice for a new life but it's not what happens."
- Olga Kurylenko

She received the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival for her performance in the film, and also starred in the Paris, je t’aime segment Quartier de la Madeleine opposite Elijah Wood. Kurylenko predominantly tackled thriller roles for her next several assignments, with supporting turns in such features as Le Serpent (2006) and Hitman (2007), and made international headlines when she landed the role of Camille in the 22nd installment of the James Bond series, Quantum of Solace, to be released in November 2008.

Kurylenko was discovered by a female model scout while on vacation in Moscow at the age of thirteen. When she was 17 she signed a contract with the Paris-based Madison modeling agency. By the age of 18 she had already appeared on the covers of Vogue and Elle. While working as a model in Paris, Kurylenko supported her mother back home in Ukraine.

She also dazzled the covers of Madame Figaro and Marie Claire.

Also, she became the face of Lejaby lingerie, Bebe clothing, Clarins and Helena Rubinstein. Furthermore, she modelled for Roberto Cavalli and KENZO, and briefly appeared in the Victoria's Secret catalog.

In 2005, Kurylenko began her film career in France. She received the certificate of excellence award at the 2006 Brooklyn International Film Festival for her performance in L'Annulaire, and also starred in the Paris, je t'aime segment Quartier de la Madeleine opposite Elijah Wood. This same year, she was selected to be the face of Kenzo's new fragrance, Kenzo Amour. She has appeared in all subsequent Kenzo Amour ads. In 2007, Kurylenko starred in Hitman alongside Timothy Olyphant in which she did a full nude scene. She played Bond girl Camille Montes in the 2008 James Bond film, Quantum of Solace. The film was released in the United States on her twenty-ninth birthday.

Kurylenko was featured on the cover of the December 2008 issue of the US edition of Maxim magazine and on the cover of the February 2009 issue of the Ukrainian edition of Maxim magazine.

The fact that she is the first Bond girl from a post-Soviet state received mixed reactions in post-Soviet countries. The Saint-Petersburg based Communist group KPLO has accused her of "moral and intellectual betrayal" in starring in a film about the "enemy of the Soviet people" (meaning James Bond), but the mayor of Berdyansk has suggested naming a street after her and Kurylenko and her mother met Ukraine's First Lady Kateryna Yushchenko in President Yushchenko's family country house.

Perhaps no actor or actress better represents the convergence of Hollywood and video games better than Olga Kurylenko. The 29-year-old Ukranian beauty has already appeared in two recent movies based on games, sharing the screen with Tim Olyphant in last year's Hitman and, more recently, with Mark Wahlberg in Max Payne. And in a few days, she will be seen in her biggest role yet: starring opposite Daniel Craig in the latest Bond adventure, Quantum of Solace. And in a casting move that brings her impressive career full circle, Kurylenko will lend her voice and likeness for her character, Camille, in the Quantum videogame, which just went on sale. We had a chance to sit down with the busy actress and discuss her own gaming background, why Hollywood likes videogames, and how to fake a skydive.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So, did you play videogames growing up?
OLGA KURYLENKO: When I was a kid, we never had a videogame in my house. But my cousin did, and each time I went to her house I was able to play Tetris and Mario. Those were the only two games I played as a child. And once I started working I never had time. When you're never home and traveling, you don't play videogames.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Now you're appearing in a videogame. What's it like seeing yourself on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3?
OLGA KURYLENKO: I think it's very funny. I could never imagine this — it's a cartoon where suddenly a little version of you exists. I'm very excited about it.

Did you go back and prepare for any of your videogame film roles by playing the games?
Hitman really didn't interest me at all. I was told it was based on a game, but I only read the script. I liked my part. I liked the kind of person I was going to portray and the feelings my character had. She wasn't cold. As an actor, you don't want to play a one-dimensional character. And then I found out that this character doesn't exist in the videogame.

What can you tell us about Camille, the character you play in both the game and movie?
She is a very strong woman and determined to get to her goal, which is revenge. Something really bad happened to her as a child and all she wants to do is get back at the people who did it. She's not afraid to die.

What kind of action or stunts did they let you do on set?
I was doing a lot of action things. They trained me so well that I'm now prepared for everything. There was lots of intensive training — stuff like fighting, how to do stunts, shoot a gun, and skydive.

So you jumped out of an airplane in this movie?
I didn't jump out of an airplane — we did it in a wind tunnel. I didn't know these existed. It's a professional place where they all rehearse and do special exercises. When you go in it's the same feeling as if you're in the air. You learn how to position your body right to go up and go down or right or left just as if you were skydiving from a plane. I learned so much. I got hooked on it. I'd love to do it as a hobby, if I had the time. It's a real adrenaline rush.

Any chick who gets cast as a Bond girl deserves a great sex appeal rating. We know that Bond, James Bond only goes for the exotic, uber-sexy, off-the-chart hotties, and Olga Kurylenko is definitely one of them. Daniel Craig is a lucky man.
