Debra Lynn Messing

Born on August 15, 1968
Debra Lynn Messing is an eight time Golden Globe nominated American actress. Her work includes the portrayal of Grace Adler in the NBC television series Will & Grace, and Molly Kagan in the USA television series The Starter Wife.

"I had a friend who had a little too much to drink on the day and attempted to flirt with every married woman in the place. Nothing happened, but it was funny to watch."

"Ask everyone whether they're an actor or a doctor or a teacher or whatever is entitled to his or her opinion. But unfortunately, because actors are in the public eye, whether we want it or not, sometimes our opinions carry more weight or influence than they deserve. "

"I come from the New York theatre world, and I have a lot of gay male friends, so this friendship of Will & Grace’s isn’t such a stretch. "

"I'm fascinated by diamonds. When I put diamonds on, my hands start
to shake. "

"I can't imagine it being more sweet. You just hope that you will get the opportunity to do what you love and pay your bills, and that is being a success as an actor. The accolades -- this is otherworldly. I have never allowed myself the ability to dream this far." -Debra Messing

In 1993, Messing won praise for her acting in the pre-Broadway workshop production of Tony Kushner's play Angels in America: Perestroika. Subsequently, she appeared in several episodes of the television series NYPD Blue during 1994 and 1995.

In 1995, Messing made her film debut in Alfonso Arau's A Walk in the Clouds playing the unfaithful wife of main character Paul Sutton (Keanu Reeves). This exposure led the Fox network to make her the co-star of the television sitcom, Ned and Stacey. The series lasted for two seasons, from 1995 to 1997. Messing appeared as Jerry Seinfeld's date in two episodes of the series Seinfeld: "The Wait Out" in 1996 and "The Yada Yada" in 1997. Messing turned down a starring role in another television sitcom to appear in Donald Margulies's two-character play Collected Stories, which opened at the Off-Broadway Manhattan Theater Club. She also co-starred in McHale's Navy in 1997.

In 1998, Messing played a lead role as the bio-anthropologist Sloan Parker on ABC's dramatic science fiction television series Prey. During this time her agent approached her with the pilot script for the television show Will & Grace. Messing was inclined to take some time off, but the script intrigued her, and she auditioned for the role of Grace Adler, beating out Nicollette Sheridan, who later guest-starred on the show as a romantic rival of Grace's. Will & Grace became a ratings success, and Messing gained renown.

In 2002, she was named one of the "50 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine. TV Guide picked her as its "Best Dressed Woman" in 2003. Messing was cast by director Woody Allen in a small role in his 2002 film Hollywood Ending. Her film roles since include a happily married but ill-fated wife in the supernatural thriller The Mothman Prophecies (2002) and a supporting role in Along Came Polly (2004). The Wedding Date (2005) was Messing's first leading role in a high-profile film. It received mixed reviews but performed fairly well at the box office. Messing was featured as a judge on the season finale of the second season of Bravo's reality show, Project Runway. She also starred in the television mini-series The Starter Wife, which was nominated for ten Emmy awards including one for Messing for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie.

Messing reprised her role as Molly Kagan in a second season of ten episodes of The Starter Wife in 2008. In February 2009, USA Network announced that The Starter Wife will not be back for another season.

Messing met her husband, Daniel Zelman, an actor and screenwriter, on their first day as graduate students at NYU in 1990. They were married on September 3, 2000, and live in New York City. On April 7, 2004, Messing gave birth to their son, Roman Walker Zelman.

Is she too wholesome to be sexy? Of course not. The good-girl attitude combined with her red-headed flamboyance makes for a very attractive package.

Kathryn Ann "Katee" Sackhoff

Born on April 8, 1980
Kathryn Ann "Katee" Sackhoff is an American actress known for playing Captain Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on the Sci Fi Channel's Peabody Award-winning television program Battlestar Galactica. In 2004 she was nominated for a Saturn Award in the "Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series" category for her work in the Battlestar Galactica miniseries. In May 2006, she won the Saturn Award for the same role. She will star in the eighth season of 24 as a series regular.

Katee Sackhoff’s sex appeal is nothing if not versatile. Before taking on the role of Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica, Katee says she was always portrayed as a sweet, innocent little blonde girl from Oregon. Now she’s being drooled over by sci-fi nerds as a go-to tough girl. It’s a testament to Katee’s fun personality and physical attractiveness that she can appeal to such diametrically opposed male fantasies.

Katee herself doesn’t like the kind of complications that can come from being so appealing. For example, Katee doesn’t approve of the love triangles Starbuck gets tangled in with her Galactica crewmates. “I wish she would just be with one of them and call it a day,” she jokes. Although she doesn’t go into details about her private life, Katee is reported to be seeing Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle John Welbourn.

When asked if she had to keep the fate of starbuck a secret
I did. Isn't that horrible? I called David about on day two crying, going, "I can't do this. I'm lying to my family and they're all so upset." Everyone thinks that their show is going to get canceled. I was like, "You guys can't do this to me. You're going to have to tell some people." So they told Eddie [James Olmos] and I knew that once they told Eddie, he would tell everybody.

when asked if she was a fan of the original "Bionic Woman":
I wasn't born. Like "Battlestar Galactica", I'm just going to remake old shows for a living. I keep saying that next is "A-Team" and I'm going to play 'Face'. Just for sh!ts and giggles

when asked what she would like to see happen to Starbuck in season 4:
We'd shot maybe one episode of the last season, and "TV Guide" asked me, can you tell us anything about the series, and I said as a joke, "Yeah, I'm a Cylon, and I die." And then seven episodes [later] I get a phone call from David and [executive producer] Ron [Moore] going, "Just so you know, we love you, but we're going to kill you." So I want to say I have no idea what's going to happen, and I just hope that it leaves the fans happy.

First appearing in a series of commercials, TV movies and shows, Sackhoff got her first recurring role as 'Annie' in MTV's Undressed, next gaining a supporting role as Nell Bickford in The Education of Max Bickford. Katee made her motion picture debut in My First Mister, next appearing in film as Jenna "Jen" Danzig in Halloween: Resurrection.

Sackhoff appeared in her most notable role as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in the mini-series and followup TV series of Battlestar Galactica, for which the actress won a Saturn Award in 2005 for Best Actress on Television. The actress's persona led the writers to develop the character of Starbuck as a more volatile and complex character. What executive produce Ron Moore described as magnetism, David Eick, producer, expanded stating, "We saw this whole other side that was all because of Katee—vulnerability, insecurity, desperation. We started freeing ourselves up to explore the weakness of the character, because we knew Katee could express those things without compromising the character's strength."

Sackhoff was next cast as the evil cyborg Sarah Corvus in the short-lived NBC series, Bionic Woman. David Eick, executive producer for the show, stated, "She's a very special find. Those actors who can combine the qualities of strength and vulnerability—they usually call those people movie stars."

Sackhoff plays the female lead in the action/scifi movie The Last Sentinel and the supernatural thriller White Noise 2: The Light.

The actress appears as the main character in the Lifetime Original Movie How I Married My High School Crush, as well as guest appearances in Cold Case, ER, Law and Order, and Robot Chicken.

Sackhoff provided the voice of a female marine in the video game Halo 3 and is also featured in the viral marketing campaign for Resistance 2.

She appears in four episodes of the fifth season of the hit FX series Nip/Tuck, playing a new doctor, Dr. Theodora Rowe. Sackhoff was later replaced by Rose McGowan for the role.

Sackhoff headlined NBC's Dick Wolf-produced cop drama Lost and Found, which centered on Tessa (Sackhoff), "an offbeat female LAPD detective who, after butting heads with the higher-ups, is sent as a punishment to the basement to work on John Doe and Jane Doe cases." The pilot was filmed in January 2009. NBC decided not to pick up the series.

Sackhoff will appear as a series regular in the eighth season of the hit television series 24, playing Dana Walsh, a CTU data analyst with a secret.

Katee Sackhoff Quotes

“I get some very nice fan letters.
Someone actually sent one to my parents, with another letter inside for me. Kinda weird.”

"I was addicted to the original Star Trek" when I was growing up, because of my dad. We grew up in St. Helen, Oregon and we weren`t allowed to watch a lot of TV. I don`t think we even
had more than three channels, so it was basically watch "Dynasty" with my mom, watch "Star Trek" with my dad, or watch the mating rituals of beavers on OPB [Oregon Public Broadcasting]. So my brother and I watched "Star Trek." "

“Every sex scene is always, without a doubt, terribly funny.”

Blake Christina Lively

Born on August 25, 1987
Blake Christina Lively is an American actress. She stars in the book-based TV series Gossip Girl as Serena van der Woodsen. She has also appeared in several films including Accepted and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants as well as its sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

As a young actress, Blake Lively is on the fringe of having great sex appeal. She stands at 5'8" -- most of that height being attributed to her long, shapely, tanned legs. Blake Lively has great skin tone, but the cutesy little-girl hair and childlike clothing is keeping her image too young. She has beautiful blue eyes and a medium-set smile that accentuates her oval facial features. A distraction to these good features, however, is her obvious dark roots. In the '80s, it was a fashion craze that made women look sexy and dangerous, but on Blake Lively, it just looks like she needs to hit the salon.

Lively started out in film with a bit role in Sandman in 1998. In 2005, Lively played Bridget in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, for which she received a Teen Choice Award nomination for "Choice Movie Breakout - Female." She reprised the role in 2008 in the sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. She starred in Accepted, Simon Says, and Elvis and Anabelle in 2006. She received the Breakthrough Award from Hollywood Life for her role in Accepted in December 2006.

Lively was cast in the CW's series Gossip Girl which premiered in September 2007. She plays Serena van der Woodsen in the teen drama. While rumors of infighting among the Gossip Girl co-stars have circulated in the tabloids, Lively denies that there is any unfriendly competition on-set. “The media is always trying to pit us against each other," she said in an interview, "I guess because it’s just not interesting to say, ‘Everyone gets along; everybody just works 18-hour days and goes home to sleep.’ That’s not fun to read, I guess.” Her first magazine cover was the November 2007 issue of Cosmo Girl, where she discussed her time in high school and her career prior to Gossip Girl. She has since appeared on the January 2008 cover of shopping magazine Lucky. She has more recently appeared on the March 2008 cover of Teen Vogue, as well as the May 2008 cover of NYLON with her Gossip Girl co-star Leighton Meester. She appeared on the cover of the August 2008 issue of Seventeen. The star also was on the cover of "Girls' Life"'s August 2008 issue, along with The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera. More recently Lively also appeared on the cover of the September 2008 issue of Cosmopolitan and the cover of the February 2009 issue of Vogue. Lively has a brief cameo in a pre-recorded Saturday Night Live skit entitled "Murray Hill" alongside James Franco, where she portrays a transexual partygoer .

Blake Christina Lively Quotes

"My whole family's been in the business. My whole family is crazy."

" I can't b
elieve we're being paid to live in New York."

"(about filming racy scenes in Gossip
Girl) It's the most awkward thing! There's a room of 40 people watching you, they're telling you exactly how to move your head, and it's completely silent. It's awful! "

"I had a lot of friends in high school, but I was never the wild party girl. Never have been, never plan to be!"

"I don't want to go to a club and not wear panties."

" Serena does have a past of being a bit wild, but what's interesting is that even though she's so young, she realizes that the way she's been living her life is wrong. It just makes her a cool person, that she's able to see that and wants to change."

"It just hit me yesterday that our show is going to come out soon. I thought, Oh crap, the show is going to premiere in two weeks. It's so anonymous right now, and people are going to see it."

"If you ever want something badly, let it go. If it comes back to you,
then it's yours forever. If it doesn't, then it was never yours to begin with."
- Blake Lively

on her name

Actually, my grandma's brother's name was Blake, and my sister wrote it down when she was reading a family tree. And they said, "If it's a boy, we'll name him Blake, and if it's a girl, we'll name her Blakely." And everybody thought I was going to be a boy, and then I came out and I was a girl. And they had already been calling me Blake for months because they were positive I was going to be a boy. And they had been calling me Blake for so long, they just kept it.
