Malaika Arora Khan

Born on August 23, 1973
Malaika Arora Khan is a model, Indian VJ and a Bollywood actress.

Malaika was born in Mumbai to a Malayali mother, Joyce Polycarp and a Punjabi father, Anil Arora. Her father worked in the merchant navy. Her younger sister, Amrita Arora is a Bollywood actress.

She completed her tenth grade from Swami Vivekanand School in Chembur (Mumbai). Her Aunt Grace Polycarp was the principal of the school. She is also an alumna of the Holy Cross High School Thane where she had studied until ninth grade. She lived in Borla Society, opposite Basant Talkies before her modeling career.

Malaika Arora who always wanted to be a model since childhood started with Society magazine’s ccover girl. Essentially she is a print/press model doing ad campaigns for print and television. Her face adorned various prestigious ad campaigns, Some of her as campaigns are Pearl Pet, Bare Necessities, Mafatlal, Benzer, Arena, Tanishq, Tribhuvandas Bhimji and De Beers. Tall , sexy diva then went on to become the Ramp Queen . The sultry model shot to fame as a video jockey for the music channel MTV where she hosted popular shows like Style Check and Love Line.

Meanwhile she also did a music video for Bally Sagoo's Gud Naal Ishq Mitha and Shubha Mudgal's Pyar Ka Mausam where she shared the screen with her now hubby Arbaaz Khan . ‘Gud Naal Ishq Mitha’ song got noticed by Farah Khan who offered her the song ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’ alongside King Khan. Her sensational appearance in Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se caught audience’s attention.

The model turned veejay turned actress started her movie career with the movie ‘Aaja Meri Jaan’ but she gained instant appreciation and literally rocked the nation when she shook legs with Sharukh khan on a train top to the driving beat of chaiyya chaiyya. The song went to become an instant hit.

Till today she is called the ‘original item girl’ because of this song. Model turned VJ turned actress, Malaika Arora got married to bollywood actor Arbaz Khan on December 12, 1998 whom she met during a coffee ad shoot . Life has not changed much for her even after the birth of her son , Arhaan and even motherhood could not take away the sex symbol tag attached to her. Her fitness mantra has a lot to contribute to it since she works out religiously and eats just right. She got back to work with full force and does VJ and movies both with a great balancing act. Her known movies include Kaal, The Hero, Kaante, Maa Tujhhe Salaam, Indian, Bichhoo, Dil Se.

Also in Karan Johar's ‘Kaal' Malaika Arora Khan and Shah Rukh Khan created the same magic by shaking legs together to an item tune. And now, after a gap of three years, the hottie has shot a special number in Firoz Nadiadwala’s Welcome. This is a tapori song with Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar and is like a mixture of ‘Kajra re’ and ‘Makhna’

Interestingly, Malaika is also shooting a song with hubby Arbaaz Khan for Indrajit Lankesh’s untitled film. With the hot and sensuous body-to-die-for, Malaika Arora would be seen in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om where she plays a superwoman first of its kind in Bollywood. The movie is a co-production of Farah Khan and SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Malaika Arora Khan agreed to do the film all for free of cost for her dear friend Farah Khan. She is also the Brand ambassador for European cellular phone (Meridien mobile phones). On her future plans she certainly does not see herself in show biz in the future. She wants to start certain business, preferably running a restaurant.

Featuring on the Maxim cover, this sexy mamma is tagged as 'Being the first" mother seen as a sex symbol and does she love it or what? She was the first to rock for an item number on the moving train (shall we say burning train), the first Hottest Non – model VJ for a popular music channel. The first ever model whose stilettos became the bigger talk of the town than she was. But what she definitely does not believe in is that first impression is the last one coz every time she appears she leaves a deeper impact...

Sexy naughty bitchy, Malaika can give any Shakira, Beyonce or a Jennifer Lopez, run for their money, for it's not just her personality that speaks volume but her confidence too that haunts you. With the right set of ingredients, Malaika Arora makes up the absolute true blue international star.

When asked about her wildest experience she says it was swimming with sharks, well we bet the sharks must have felt the same way too. With a pout and smile to kill for, that can turn a stone to melt away, she still says that between a cricket match and Malaika Arora, it is the Game that her hubby goes for. Well, what can we say but bring it on babes we'll forever choose ya.

She is married to the Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan whom she met during a coffee ad shoot. Together they have a son, Arhaan. Her sister is actress Amrita Arora, and her brothers-in-law are actors, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan .

Arbaaz said in an interview "She balances work, home and kid beautifully." Amrita said on the popular show Koffee With Karan that she doesn't know anyone in Bollywood who has maintained their body as well as Malaika, even after motherhood.

Nach Baliye
Malaika also appeared in the television show Nach Baliye as one of the 3 judges and the show aired on STAR One in mid-2005, and she continued as a judge in Nach Baliye 2 that started airing in the last quarter of 2006.

Zara Nachke Dikha
Malaika has also judged in the show zara nachke dikha as a judge along with the indian actor Chunky Pandey.

What did you think of Nach Baliye 3?
I didn't see much of it. Whatever little I watched was completely over the top.. the focus was on everything but dance. I liked Jhalak Dikhlaja 2 better. The first two seasons of Nach Baliye were very good.

Wasn't the first one the best?
I agree. The dancers were better and there was the novelty factor. I had a lot of fun doing it. You could make a behind-the-scenes show out of the first two seasons. I have literally fallen off the chair once, laughing.

Apparently, there was a cold war between you and Saroj Khan.
No way. I'm the easiest person to get along with.

Did it bug that you were signed on primarily for your sex appeal?
I'm cool about my sex appeal. Why should I be apologetic about it? Moreover, I'm selective about my work. I host award functions, do a couple of shows, some films and I'm happy.

Bruna Abdullah, this Brazilian bombshell

Bruna Abdullah, this Brazilian bombshell is making all right moves. She is all over heating TV screens in attempt to find Indias Hottest on Channel [V]. Even Indian edition of FHM Magazine got sizzling taste of this beauty.

Take a look at her stats sheet and you’ll see what we’re talking about: Bruna has been seen taking it off for the Kingfisher calender, dancing naughtily in Bollywood item numbers and engaging in some rather hot activities on her new show on Channel [V]. She quite obviously loves to show off her spectacular proportions and you won’t hear us complaining. Those who get to know her intimately (like we did) will quickly learn that Bruna is really a very friendly, down to earth and extremely intelligent woman; that flirty, ‘spank me bad’ demeanour she projects is just a show.

“Back in Mumbai there are strong rumours about me and Salman Khan. But this is the most ridiculous piece of news,” said the model and VJ in a telephone interview from Brazil.

“He’s a chocolate boy. He might be a Greek god, but I am not Salman Khan’s girlfriend,” she giggles.

Bruna Abdallah sizzled into bollywood with an item song ‘rehem kare’ in movie Cash. This Brazilian model is turning heads in glamour industry. She is all over TV these days for show Indias’ Hottest with AJ Aditya on Channel [V].

She is providing perfect eye candy to people tuning in to check hottest people in India. If you think you are hot - upload your picture on indias’ hottest website and let Indian decide. As such Bruna is there to raise temperature.

Do you like to accessorise yourself?
I only like to wear ear rings. I love wearing nice big ear rings. I usually wear a thin gold chain and pendant but it is so thin that it is not even noticeable. I do not like junk jewellery at all. I hate those plastic necklaces and all. I prefer delicate piece of accessories.

Who chooses your clothes?
Generally I choose my clothes but when I have to buy an outfit for some event or grand occasion I consult a stylist. I don’t choose my clothes for such occasions as my dressing sense is non-glamorous and I will never pick something that is glamorous or jazzy that is needed for grand occasions.

Is there any particular brand that you prefer for clothes?
Guess and Zara because the clothes from these brands fit me well and they have good colours. I mostly buy Guess and Zara jeans. I have a huge collection of jeans.

What is your favourite destination for shopping?
Dubai as I can find all my favourite brands there. Dubai is best for shopping. You name it and they have it.

Which are the clothes that make you feel comfortable?
A pair of jeans and tang top.

Who is your favourite designer?
Vikram Phandis. His outfits are very wearable. Many a times when you attend a fashion show, you wonder if you would ever wear those designs but it is not the same with him. His designs are amazing.

A must have in your purse?
I have everything that a girl has in her bag from lip balm to hair moisturiser. I always make a point to carry a hair moisturiser as I have curly hair that easily gets dry and frizzy.

A fashion tip.
Just feel comfortable in what you wear. Girls are often seen pulling their dress down or adjusting their clothes which looks tacky. So, it is always better to wear something that is comfortable rather than being conscious. And one more thing, do not take off your shoes at a party. Wear something that is comfortable and you can wear all night.

What are the make-up products that you prefer?
Lancome and Maybelline. Lancome products suit my skin tone and complexion. Also, its products are very smooth on skin. I like Maybelline for its mascaras and eye liners

A make- up tip.
The simple principle that I follow is less the better. It is important to have nice looking hair. Always carry a good hairstyle. A good hairdo with basic make-up is the perfect combination.

Pia Trivedi

Birthname:Pia Trivedi
Hometown:Mumbai
Job:actress ,Model,VJ
Ethnicity:Asian
Country of Origin:India

Born to a family of exporters from Gujarat, Pia has been based in Mumbai all her life. She finished her schooling from Bombay Scottish and Junior College from Jai Hind in South Mumbai. In class 6; when most kids are glued to comics, cartoons and homework, she drew inspiration for modelling from her elder sister who had strutted down the ramp for a show at Tikujini Wadi, a water park at the out skirts of Mumbai. Enamoured by the overwhelming response and the unmatched attention her sister received at the show, Pia decided follow suit.

Like a good mama’s girl, she completed her studies for the next six years of her life, but never for a moment did she lose focus on her goal for modelling. In mid 2003, without anymore ado, Pia auditioned for ace choreographer Marc Robinson and the same year she waltzed up the runway at the Lakme India Fashion Week. From there on there was no looking back.

On the personal front, she is a perfect daughter to her businessman father and homely mother. A strong camaraderie exists between the two sisters as they identify with similar fundamentals of life.

Extremely sensitive to the deplorable plight of animals she vehemently refutes to buy or even wear any kind of fur and leather. An active volunteer at People for Ethical Treatment for Animals (PETA), she firmly believes that if the buying stops, the killing will too! Mostly content with the homemade dal & rice, Pia is perhaps the perfect paragon of the axiom ‘live simple, think high’

Having earned the platform to showcase the copious talent veiled within her, she kept accepting and declining offers on merit. Over the past 4 years, she has walked the ramp for J.J Vallaya, Tarun Tahiliani, Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla, Deepika Govind, Rocky S, Wendell Rodricks, Ritu Kumar, Malini Ramani, Satya Paul, Sabyasachi, Ritu Beri, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.

Thr model-cum-VJ prefers working in Bollywood rather than southern films because the filmmakers in the south want her to put on extra pounds.

"I have not accepted any offers from southern filmmakers because they wanted me to increase my weight in order to fit the role. They wanted me to look chubby, but I am not ready to do so, " said Pia.

"I am happy with my figure and have no intentions to increase my weight to get a film in south. I have made myself as per requirements of Bollywood and will be very happy to work here, " added Pia, who has been the Kingfisher's swim suit model for two consecutive years.
